School's Over FOREVER
My life of compulsory education is over Forever. I can't beleive this day has actually come and gone, that school is something of the past and now I don't need to carry on in educating myself if I dont want to - but I am going to because I want to be a teacher.
The day of leaving school was numb, it felt surreal, everyone so happy but so sad, - tears flowed embraced with cackles, some of these people i will never see again, never smile again at them in the corridor never se thier face, forget thier name and only be able to remember them by our whole year picture. It seems only yesterday that We joined and the year 11's of that time seemed so tall and intimidating. I already miss it, i miss waking up dragging myself to the bus stop, getting the bus with my friend - we met on the first day of secondary school, getting the bus together.
I miss texting my best friend "sainsburys, 8 clock?" and her texting back "yep", us getting confused in what to buy, I miss Jackie man, the woman at the till that use to call us the "rich girls" because we had notes, the freaks of shirley and just our mourning conversations.
I'll miss my tutor and our little corner that we would take over, I bought my tutor some flowers on our last day for being an amazing tutor because she has been. She's been an amazing english teacher to me and inspired me to teach english even more. I cried leaving my tutor buddies behind.
People say the best days of your life are your school days and its probably true, because your protected, your forgiven, people treat like an adult but with a young persons mind and now We've been set free in to a world that can be so harsh, but leaving school should be liberating. I feel liberated but meloncholy.
School becomes a community you circulate in, you might not talk to everyone but seeing those faces can be comforting.
I'm happy its all over, I'm happy I'm moving upwards and onwards into something new, I'm happy we are all choosing our lives, our lives are becoming more into the shape we want them to become. I'll never forget anyone's faces, the school books and the work might be gone, I'm no longer a school kid but the memories will last forever.
I Love you, Regents Park, 2004-2009, Thank you.
